Good morning! Have you tried the new Shimmer Paint in the Holiday Mini Catalog? I love it, & hope that they'll keep it around permanently! It comes in 3 colors: Champagne Mist, Frost White, and Platinum, and there are so many ways to use it. Here are some ways from my sideline, Susan, who is an amazingly crafty gal:
"The Silver shimmer paint dries quickly and your stamped image will not smear when you rub your finger over it like the Encore will. However, if you want to use embossing powder, the Encore is your best route. The Silver shimmer paint is opaque and can be applied to ribbon if you want a silver ribbon for your project. The Champagne Mist shimmer paint is translucent and can be used with any color to add a golden shimmer. For example, I sponged some onto crushed curry card stock before I die cut a little star. It was beautiful. You can also sponge some onto a stamp that you have already inked before stamping it onto your card stock to add shimmer to the stamped image. You can make a great shimmer mist spray by putting ordinary rubbing alcohol from your first aid kit into a small empty fine-mist spray bottle filling it about 3/4 full and then adding roughly 1/2 teaspoon of Champagne Mist shimmer paint to it. Cover and shake well then spray onto any color card stock. You will need to shake it frequently as it settles out quickly. Add more or less shimmer paint to the bottle as desired. The white shimmer paint is also more opaque and can be sponged on to "ink" a stamp. You can also tint it with any of our ink refills to create any shimmery color desired. All shimmer paints can be used on fabric, so be careful not to spill."
This project starts with a Kraft base & features In Colors.The Champagne Mist shimmer paint was added directly onto the stamp from the For All You Do set with a sponge dauber and stamped. I also used the dauber to paint around the edges of the card. It is much sparklier IRL, but it shows up pretty well in the photo. The white cardstock was sent through the Big Shot with a Texturz Plate from Stampin' Up Backgrounds 1, an exclusive set of 6 texture plates. The sweet little sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. This is the best sentiment set that SU has ever had IMO! There is a stamp for every holiday & occasion. Love it!
