Christmas Punch Movers and Shapers

Hello Everyone! Thank you for all the birthday wishes! I had a wonderful birthday yesterday, even though my hubby is out of town. I spent the day doing what I love to do, making cards, scrapbooking, and spending time with friends, then my kids and I went out to dinner, so all in all, a great day! The big surprise came from my in-laws... 4 tickets to the World Series Game #4 in Philadelphia! Now, I live in Raleigh, NC and I had my stamp club and scrapbooking club meeting planned for Sunday, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, so we had to make it work! My family are huge Phillies fans!

Today's project is one that my club gals will be making, & it features the Movers and Shapers Die for the Big Shot. Have you seen this? It is so cool! It has a magnetic moveable piece, so you can put the cut out in your card wherever you want, plus it cuts and scores a standard 4.25 x 5.5 card. It comes with the Curly Label Punch shape, but we have 8 other shapes for it. 

The stamp set is a Level 2 hostess set, Christmas Punch. Each stamp in the set coordinates with one of our punches. The stamp was colored with markers to get 2 colors on one image. I love this card!

For All You Do on my Birthday!

 Happy birthday to me! Happy birthday to me! Happy birthday dear AAAMMYYYYY, happy birthday to me! Aren't you glad I haven't added audio to this post??? LOL! Well, today is my birthday (in case you haven't guessed), and I am going to post 2 projects today. The first is another card we did in Fancy Folds class this week called a Pop Up Card. This is a real WOW card, but is easy to make. It folds flat and fits in our standard medium envelopes. If you would like directions to this or any of the projects I post, just shoot me an email. I based the color scheme on the Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper that we have in the current Idea Book and Catalog. The base is Old Olive, and the purples are Orchid Opulence and Rich Razzleberry (an In Color). The base was stamped with a wheel, and the card is stamped with For All You Do stamp set. The little flower is from the Boho Blossoms Punch, and the middle is a 1/2 inch circle punch. I used my Cropadile to set the Jumbo Eyelet, and striped grosgrain completed the project.

Isn't he a cutie-patootie? This is a Level 2 Hostess set called Snow Buddies from the Holiday Mini Catalog. Do you have a copy? If you would like one, email me! This little snowman was stamped using a Stamp-a-majig to place his arms and hat exactly where I wanted them. I outlined him in 2-way glue pen and added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter so he really sparkles. I colored him with markers that match the Holiday Lounge DSP, and the sentiment is from the Warm Words set. I think I'll make a bunch of these to send this year!

Sparkly & Bright Magical Marquee Card

Hello! Today's project is a card that we did in my Fancy Folds class this week. This is a really cool card! I wish I could take the credit for creating it, but the amazing Jan Tink designed it. Wanna see the inside? Are you ready for this?

When you open the card, the curtains slide open to reveal the reindeer inside! Isn't that amazing? Everyone in class loved this card, and it is actually pretty easy to make. The one we made in class looked a little bit different, but very similar. I'll post a picture of it soon.

Upsy Daisy Embossed

 Hello Stampers! As promised, today's birthday card is another one with Upsy Daisy. To get this gorgeous technique, you need the Glossy White cardstock. First I stamped the flower image with Versamark on the glossy cardstock, sprinkled it with clear embossing powder, then heated it with the heat tool. Then with a Stampin' Sponge, I rubbed Only Orange and Melon Mambo classic ink over the embossed image. That layer was placed on top of a layer of Whisper White cardstock which was punched with the Eyelet Border Punch & stamped with the birthday greeting. A ribbon wraps it up nicely for someone's birthday. Maybe mine? :-)

Upsy Daisy

Hello Stampers! Although I have a gazillion Christmas cards to show you, I decided to take a little break & show something non-holiday today. Also, it is my birthday this week, so maybe that has something to do with it. LOL! Today's card used the gorgeous silhouette stamp set, Upsy Daisy. I stamped it in Summer Sun, then took my Melon Mambo marker and colored directly on the stamp around the edges of the image. Then I "huffed" on the stamp to moisten it & stamped. Easy, but striking! The birthday greeting is popped up on dimensionals.

Bold Snowflakes

 Good Monday morning! Where did the weekend go? I ask that every Monday! LOL! Today's card is another one that we did at a Christmas Stamp-a-stack. It features the Bold Snowflakes Jumbo Wheel, which makes it a super quick and easy card to make multiples of. It was inked in Bashful Blue and wheeled across whisper white cardstock. The Bashful blue cardstock was stamped in Silver ink and heat embossed with Irridescent Ice embossing powder. It is very sparkly IRL. The border was punched with our Eyelet Border punch, and a thin strip of silver cardstock was added to the top with 2 clear rhinestone brads. Very simple, but people say wow when they see it!

Waterfall Card Video--Finally!

Hello Everyone! I'm still trying to figure out my schedule with my blog, but I think I'll post scrapbook layouts every Sunday (at least). I hear from customers that they have trouble finding scrapbook layouts using SU products, so I'll be sharing my pages with you! 

Today's layout is what my scrapbook club did last month. Every Demonstrator runs her clubs a little bit differently, but in mine, my club gals can choose to do Cards & Projects, where each month they get a free class where they make 2 cards and a 3D project, or they can choose Scrapbooking, where in their free class they make a double page 12" x 12" layout. If you are local to Raleigh, NC & would like to come try out a class for free, let me know! I started with Kraft 12 x 12 cardstock, and ran several colors from the Earth Elements color family through the Big Shot using the Leaves #2 die, which I crumpled to give a more authentic look. I also used the Big Shot to make my title letters from chip board, which I then stamped in Versamark using the Bella Toile Background stamp and inked around the edges in Chocolate Chip classic ink. The small circle stamp on the left is from the Level 3 hostess set, The More The Merrier. Did you know that Stampin' Up Demonstrators get to buy a level 2 and a level 3 stamp set before the catalog is released? Just one of the many perks of being a demo! The big circle was cut with the Circle Scissor Plus, which is an amazing circle cutter that cuts any size circle between 1-6 inches. Very cool. The tree is from the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set stamped in Chocolate Chip. That tree is gorgeous! I love dimensional elements on my scrapbook pages, so I added a More Mustard button from the Playground collection, and tied a strip of chocolate chip cardstock through the button holes. What do you think?

Dasher Quilt

Happy Weekend, Everyone! I feel like I've been making Christmas cards exclusively since my first stamp-a-stack of the season in August, so I'll be posting a lot! I came up with this card when I was down to just scraps left of the Merry Moments DSP, but couldn't bear to throw them out. I thought about running the quilt layer through the Big Shot with the Top Note die, but I've seen that done before, so I decided to leave it as is. Did you know that Dasher is the #2 selling stamp set from the Idea Book and Catalog? Medallion is #1, & both of these are favorites of mine. The photo doesn't show it well, but his antlers are jazzed up with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. Love that stuff!
