A Birthday Card, Big News, and More swaps!

 Hello! We are snowed in here in Raleigh, so I thought I would get lots of crafting done this weekend, but I was thrown a curveball. My husband has been working in Virginia since July and we've ben trying to sell our house. Well, on Friday we received 2 offers on our home and yesterday morning we signed the contract! Oh my goodness... we're really moving! I have been in full-panic mode, trying to make lists of everything that needs to be done in the next few weeks, so needless to say, I didn't make any cards! So instead, I pulled a project out that I made a while back & intended to share on my blog. 

• This card features the On Your Birthday stamp set, which is a set of 12 birthday greetings. You'll never run out of ways to say Happy Birthday with this set!
• The colors, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, and Soft Suede, were inspired by the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper. Those flowers are so sweet!
• I added more flowers using my Trio Flower Punch, and added a half-pearl from the Pretties Kit. Pretty! The Pretties Kit comes with white fabric flowers that you can dye with our classic ink, halfback pearls in white and cream, round pearls with holes in white and cream, clear round and teardrop beads, rhinestone brads, and hat pins. A versatile kit to embellish all of your works of heart!
• The stamp was inked with Stampin' Write markers, so I could have 2 colors on one image.

This card didn't have a name on the back, so I don't know who created it. It was made using the Well Scripted stamp set and the Scalloped Heart of Hearts and Beautiful Wings Embosslits for the Big Shot.

Aren't these cards gorgeous?  I know I've said it before, but we have such a creative team of demonstrators! 

Well, I need to return to my list-making. I feel very overwhelmed, but I'm sure it will all work out fine. We've moved several times before, so at least I know what to do. I still intend to post every day, but if I miss a day or two here & there, you'll know why. Be sure to keep checking back though, because this is my therapy and I will keep this going! Wish me luck!

With All My Heart Card and Swaps!

Hi there! Today's card is made just like the box in the previous post! Actually, I liked it so much, I removed it from my box and put it on a card. :-)  The DSP, the stamp set, the flower punch... love it all! Then I decided to remove the scallop circle & just stamp a sentiment that comes with the With All My Heart stamp set. Here is that version:

With All My Heart Card Box

Hello! Today's project is a box that is made from one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock, and it holds several cards and envelopes. I have 4 of each in mine, but it would probably hold more cards without thick embellishments. 

We had our SUpreme Stampers Soiree on Saturday, which is the quarterly meeting of our team of demonstrators. Our awesome leader, Catherine, puts so much work and effort into these meetings, and they are so fun! I demonstrated this box for the gals who were there, and I told them that I'd film a video of how to make it. So here it is:

Thoughts & Prayers Sympathy Card

Hello! Today's card is one that I did in a workshop not long ago, and I'm sending it to some friends who just got some bad news. I just love that tree, and it is perfect for a solemn occasion or for a cheery one. We also have that same gorgeous tree in our Definitely Decorative catalog. It comes in black or brown in 3 sizes. Have you seen our new Definitely Decor insert that just came out? Click the picture on the side bar to see all of our new vinyl home decor!

• The scallop oval was die-cut with the Big Shot and Scallop Oval Die. I ran a piece of Whisper White and So Saffron through at the same time, and I saved the "negatives" that I didn't use to use later in another project.
• The smaller scallop oval is a punch, and it coordinates perfectly with the Large Oval Punch.
• A touch of green glitter was added to the leaves with the 2-way glue pen to dress up the card.
• The DSP is from the Tall Tales collection. You'd never know it was such a cheery paper pack! This pattern suits the mood of this card perfectly.
• I colored onto the tree stamp directly with my Stampin' Write markers, which contain the same ink as our Classic Ink Pads. When coloring on the stamps, it helps to "huff" on the stamp before pressing it to the paper to remoisten the fast-drying ink.

Messages for Mom Birthday card

Hi there! I hope you are having a good weekend so far. I am! My hubby came home early last night from Virginia, where he works now, so my weekend has gotten off to a good start. :-)  

Today we have our quarterly SUpreme Stampers Soiree, where my awesome upline, Catherine, has a fun meeting with demonstrations, recognition, displays, food, and LOTS of stamping! Woo hoo! I'll have lots of swaps to share with you later this week!

Today's card was made with the Messages For Mom stamp set, which is brand new in the Occasions Mini Catalog. This set has everything nice you would ever want to say to your mom or anyone who is a mom!

• I stamped the flower line-art image in Black Staz On, watercolored with classic ink and blender pens, then punched it out with a 1 3/8" Circle Punch. 
• Then I took several patterns from the Shades of Spring DSP (also new in the mini), and punched various sizes of circles, and lined them up across my card in a playful way. 
• The watercolored circle got a touch of pizzaz with a yellow rhinestone brad, and the circle was popped up on dimensionals.
• The Pretty in Pink Satin ribbon (new in the mini) was tied in a knot and attached to the circle with a Glue Dot.
• The sentiment, happy birthday, was stamped in black Staz On at the bottom of my card.

 Clean and simple and easy!

Valentine's Treat Holder & Helping Haiti
