Hello! Today's card is one that I did in a workshop not long ago, and I'm sending it to some friends who just got some bad news. I just love that tree, and it is perfect for a solemn occasion or for a cheery one. We also have that same gorgeous tree in our Definitely Decorative catalog. It comes in black or brown in 3 sizes. - The scallop oval was die-cut with the Big Shot and Scallop Oval Die. I ran a piece of Whisper White and So Saffron through at the same time, and I saved the "negatives" that I didn't use to use later in another project.
- The smaller scallop oval is a punch, and it coordinates perfectly with the Large Oval Punch.
- A touch of green glitter was added to the leaves with the 2-way glue pen to dress up the card.
- The DSP is from the Tall Tales collection. You'd never know it was such a cheery paper pack! This pattern suits the mood of this card perfectly.
- I colored onto the tree stamp directly with my Stampin' Write markers, which contain the same ink as our Classic Ink Pads. When coloring on the stamps, it helps to "huff" on the stamp before pressing it to the paper to remoisten the fast-drying ink.
