Hello! It is late, so this post will be short. :-) Busy day tomorrow, so I needed to get it done!

Today's project is one that you never want to have to make. My brother-in-law just found out that his mother is very sick, so I made this to let him know that his family is in my thoughts.

Chocolate Bunny

Hi there! I"m posting later & later in the day, but at least I'm getting them out there, huh? We have spring break next week, so I'm going to try to get lots of stamping done in the next few days & get back on track!

Today's project features that oh-so-yummy Chocolate Bunny stamp, which is one of the A La Carte stamps found in the back of the mini catalog. At $7.95, it is a steal! I'm a little behind on making my Easter cards, but this layout is super easy to make multiples of!

Mr Bunny was inked in Chocolate Chip Craft ink and stamped on Close To Cocoa cardstock. Some Clear Embossing Powder and the Heat Tool makes him look good enough to eat!

The card was made with the Movers & Shapers Die with the Big Shot. When you use a piece of cardstock slightly larger than a card, the die cuts out the card for you and gives it a score line. I used the die that coordinates with our Modern Label Punch. It is slightly larger than the punch, so the punched piece is great for layers! I saved mine for another use.

The Shades of Spring DSP is perfect for Easter or any Spring project.

Awash With Flowers #3

Hi there! As promised, today I have yet another card featuring the brand new Awash with Flowers stamp set. I am loving this set! 

For today's card, I used the masking technique. I started this card by stamping all of the biggest flowers first on Whisper White cardstock. Then I filled in the white spaces with the smaller flowers and leaves. The big tulip on the left was in a place where a leaf and stem would need to go behind it, so I stamped the tulip on a post it note, cut it out, and placed it over the tulip on the project. Then when I stamped over the tulip with my other flowers & leaves, the flower under the post it was protected. Remove the post it, and voila!, layered images.

Today's card uses almost all of the colors in the Earth Elements color family. I love how Stampin' Up has the colors divided into color families, so you know that all of those colors look great together! I think I used 7 of the 12 colors in the family.

I'm making lots of Thank You cards right now, because I have so many to write! Lots of people helped us with our move or gave us gifts, so that is how I will spend my day today, writing Thank Yous. Well, we're taking the kids to see the Diary of a Whimpy Kid movie, too. :-)

Awash With Flowers #2

Hello! I hope you are enjoying your weekend. My husband ran in a 10 K this morning, but I've had a lazy day. I needed that!

Today's project is the second one that I made with the brand new stamp set, Awash With Flowers, which will come out in the new Idea Book and Catalog in July. Everyone will have the opportunity to buy it in April, though!

Awash With Flowers

Hooray!!! I stamped today!!! The world feels like it is back on its axis and life may slowly be returning to normal. I spent the better part of today trying to organize my stamp room, and I finally got to stamp with the brand new stamp set, Awash With Flowers, that has been burning a hole in my pocket (well, not actually my pocket... maybe my psyche) for 2 weeks! When I get a new stamp set, I need to use it right away, not box it up! Phew, I feel better. Lookie:

Ohmygoodness, it is gorgeous! When I first saw the sneak peek of this set on the demonstrator website, I wasn't all that impressed. I never am with the florals, I guess. It just didn't seem to have a WOW factor. But I'm here to tell you... I made 3 cards today with the set, & I didn't want to stop! With 18 stamps in the set, the possibilities are endless!

This is the most basic card I made, using just one of the flowers, one leaf, and one stem. This is a 2-Step Stamping set, where each image has the outline and a coordinating inside that get stamped separately. With the clear mount stamps, you don't even have to use a Stamp-a-ma-jig! On a card that I'll show in a few days, I did use the SAMJ, but that was because I used every stamp in the set on one card! I needed a bit of precision. But the beauty of this set is that the inside stamp doesn't completely fill out the outside, so it isn't meant to be perfectly centered. 

I actually made this card as a thank you to my mom for watching my kids during the move, but it would be a great Mother's Day card, too. I shipped them off to her house in TN for 5 days, so I could focus on the move & they wouldn't be climbing the walls. They had such a good time at her house (Thanks Mom! Thanks Ashley, too!)

Watercolor Wonder Crayons

Hi there! Still crazy here, still no stamping. :-(  I did however mount my brand new stamp set that I was able to preorder as a demonstrator, and I cannot wait to stamp with it tomorrow! Mom scrapbook pages after the big move!

Helloooooo..... I'm blogging from under a mountain of boxes! Aggghhhh! Actually, our move went really smoothly (so far), and we have made huge progress in the unboxing process. I feel like we'll never unpack all of them... but that is my goal! Thanks again for all of the wonderful emails and comments wishing us a good move. It's been stressful, crazy, exhausting... but I guess moving is always that way, huh?

Well, I had high ambitions to have my stamp room all set up by now and have a brand new project to show you, but unfortunately mommy is always low-man on the totem pole in the family order of importance. (I'm just kidding! But you know what I mean... gotta get the kiddos all set up first!) So, I have a scrapbook layout from last month's Scrapper's Express Club to show you today. Tomorrow, I will craft!

 

Gosh, scrapbook layouts never look as pretty in pictures as they do in real life! I'm telling ya, this layout is gorgeous with the sparkly DSP and the Faux Suede Flower! Here's a close up of each page:

I guess it would show up more, too, if I had a colored background instead of white.

  

I started with Very Vanilla 12 x 12 cardstock, and used the Oh So Gorgeous Sending Love Specialty DSP. Can you tell I'm crazy about that paper? I thought I would say goodbye to it after Valentine's Day, but Hooray! it is awesome for lots of occasions! I love it for my page about being a mom. Can you believe all of that big curly hair I used to have?

February Scrapper's Express

Hi there! I'm trying to get back to doing Scrapbooking on Sundays, so welcome to Scrappy Sunday! This 12 x 12 double page layout is the one that my Scrappers Express Club did in February. The layout was inspired by a layout I saw in a scrapbooking magazine, but was changed to use all Stampin' Up products.

The Sending Love Specialty DSP is the star of the show in this month's club kit! It is oh so glittery and gorgeous. Even though the DSP is glittery, I thought the layout was perfect to show yearly photos of my son from newborn to age 5. Oh, they grow up too quickly!

 

The Eyelet Border Punch adds a gorgeous decorative edge to the Pretty in Pink and Real Red glittery DSP.

The exclusive Stampin' Up Hearts & Brackets Die for the Big Shot was used with the DSP to add cute accents to the pages, and the Pretty in Pink Corduroy button adds soft, pretty texture to the layout.

 

The brackets were used to frame the journaling block.

Wonderful Favorites from Nerissa

March Scrapbooking Club Layout

Hello! Today's 12 x 12 double page scrapbook layout is the one that my local scrapbooking club did this month. It features the Sweet Pea DSP and the Vintage Vogue stamp set. Those two products are so gorgeous together! I especially love the So Saffron, Old Olive, and Taken with Teal combo. I would have never put those colors together, but I'm so glad that Stampin' Up did! 

It is very hard to see in the photos, but I took the floral vine image from the Vintage Vogue stamp set and stamped all the way down the left side of the left page, and twice in the right upper corner to form a corner accent. The subtle tone-on-tone effect is gorgeous IRL.

The photo frame on the left side is a 6 x 6 scrapbook page on its own.

  

The coordinating Very Vintage wheel was inked in Old Olive and rolled over Old Olive cardstock. The flower stamp was inked in So Saffron and cut out with paper snips. A Chocolate Chip Corduroy Button was added as the flower's center, & it was popped up on dimensionals.
