Hello! Today's project was cased off of my good friend, Catherine. I saw this on her blog & just had to make it asap!

Isn't it awesome? I changed the sentiment, which is from the Just Believe stamp set. I have another card coming soon with this set, so be sure to check back!

The gorgeous embossed image on the Crumb Cake card base was created with the new embossing folder, Elegant Lines. Sooo elegant! As soon as I saw that in the new catalog, I squealed out loud!

The striped DSP is from the Elegant Soiree paper pack, & it coordinates perfectly with the embossing folder. The stripes are softened up with the embossed butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit die.

Just Believe Thank You Card

Hi there! Today's card features the Just Believe stamp set, which was my #1 Must-Have when I saw the new Idea Book and Catalog. It has lots of gorgeous coordinating images that are perfect for so many occasions, and it is so elegant!

I did not get to attend convention this year, but I saw some of the make & takes that the demonstrators got to make there, & this card was inspired by one of the projects.

I rarely do "tearing" on my cards, but I love how this turned out. To do this right where I wanted it, first I cut my cardstock, then I stamped the image. That provided the guideline for where I wanted to tear the Whisper White piece. I then attached it to the Daffodil Delight piece and tore that one. Then  it was all mounted on the Pretty in Pink card base.

The frame for the sentiment was stamped on a piece of whisper white cardstock & hand cut out. The sentiment was easily centered in the frame because of the clear mount stamps, but a Stamp-a-ma-jig could have just as easily been used.

A thin strip of Daffodil Delight threaded through the Pretty in Pink button adds the perfect touch. The button was adhered to the ribbon with a Mini Glue Dot.

Halloween Hoot Inviting

Hi there! Today I have some cards that I created for a customer whose son wants a Harry Potter-themed birthday party (hi Michelle!). I immediately thought of the Halloween Hoot stamp set, which has a cauldron, frog in a sorcerer's hat, owl, and broomstick, (along with several other stamps) that would be perfect for this theme! On this one, I aged the Newsprint Designer Series Paper with More Mustard ink and a Stampin' Sponge, and colored the owl in the same color with my blender pens.

I added a touch of Pear Pizzazz with my Stampin' Marker to this adorable frog.

  
Her son loves the owl in the stories, so we ended up doing the above layout with the owl instead of the frog, and added the frog inside next to the invitation lines. Too Cute! Here is the inside, but with the owl instead of the frog:

Love it! She was making 25 invitations, so these are super quick and easy to whip out. The new invitation set, Inviting, is really cute with a great font.

Punch Potpourri & Flight of the Butterfly

Hello! Today I have the final project from my Open House last weekend to share. This is a cute little bookmark that features the Level 1 Hostess stamp set, Punch Potpourri and the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set. When I first got the new Idea Book and Catalog and saw the Hostess stamp sets, I squealed out loud! I love every one of them! This set has 4 stamps that match 4 of our punches including the butterfly and the bird. Love it!

Wow, that photo is BIG! 

Of course I could have used the butterflies from the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set, but they are 2-step stamping stamps, and these were brand new stampers. Plus, the butterfly from Punch Potpourri has letters on it, so I thought that was super cute for a bookmark.

This bookmark features all new In Colors: Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Blushing Bride, and Pear Pizzazz.  Love these new colors!

After a couple of attempts, I found that it was easiest to stamp the sentiment first, so that I could line up the butterfly ahead of his "trail".

Great Friend

Hello! Today I have a card to share that we made at my Open House yesterday. It went really well, & I think everyone had a good time. :-) This card features the stamp set, Great Friend. 

Ooh, I am so happy that they brought back Baja Breeze! That color with Soft Suede, Old Olive, and Very Vanilla is gorgeous. 

On a more personal note... my mom is in the ICU and had to be intubated, so I may disappear for a few days without warning. I'm hoping that she stabilizes, but I may have to rush off to Nashville. My plan is to keep posting new projects every day, though, so be sure to check back often.

Homemade

Hello! Another quick post today... I'm getting ready for my Open House! I think our air conditioner isn't working downstairs, & it is supposed to be over 100 degrees today! We'll see what happens.

Today's project features the single stamp called Homemade. What a great stamp for giving food gifts!

The box was made with the Fancy Favor Die for the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.  I just used the paper trimmer to cut off the top of the box. The stamp was inked in Marina Mist, my favorite blue.

Quick update

Hi everyone! Quick post tonight... my kids left for a couple of days in NC with friends, & I"m busy getting ready for my Open House tomorrow. I'll be sure to share the other make & takes tomorrow, but tonight, I'm enjoying a quiet night with my husband. 

Those of you who know or know of my mom, she is back in the hospital with an infection & has been having mini seizures. Please keep her in your thoughts & prayers.

Every Little Bit meets Curly Cute

Hello! This weekend I have my Stampin' Up! Open House to get my business started here in Richmond, & I am so excited! I've continued doing classes in Raleigh, but it is time to get it going here, too. 

This is one of the projects that we will be doing. It starts with a 6 x 6 piece of Rose Red cardstock, and the guests can choose whether to make a scrapbook page or a card.

As you can see, it is the exact layout. Look how little Ciara was. That seems like 100 years ago, but I guess it was 7 years ago. <sigh> They're growing up too fast!

The present stamp is from the Every Little Bit stamp set, which has 28 cute little stamps. I can see myself using this set for so many occasions.

The gorgeous sentiment is from the Curly Cute stamp set. Love that font! Both of these sets are brand new in the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog. Oh my goodness, how cute is this stamp set? When I first saw the new Idea Book and Catalog, I could not believe how awesome all of the Level 1 Hostess Stamp Sets were.
