Hello! Today we have some friends coming in to visit from Raleigh for the weekend, so I have been in a house-cleaning frenzy! Not much time for stamping, but I did manage a few minutes to try out my new Designer Frames Embossing Folders. I have wanted them since the Idea Book & Catalog came out in July, & I finally broke down and got them. :-) So worth the wait!
These embossing folders are smaller than our other folders, which are the size of a card front. Apparently their smaller size is so that you can place the embossed image where you want to on the project. I ended up with a line around the folder (very faint), but I think if I play around with it, I will figure out how to not get those lines.
I love all of the words in the Word Play stamp set, & I knew that they would fit perfectly inside the frame. The patterned paper is the Just Add Cake DSP, perfect for a birthday card.
My ribbon went a little wonky when I was trying to photograph the card because I used Snail instead of Sticky Strip to adhere it to the front of the card. That In Color ribbon is a bit too thick for Snail.
