Bye Bye, Fox & Friends!

I am soooo sad that the Fox & Friends stamp set is retiring! This is one of my all-time favorite sets. The little animals are so adorable! Here are a couple of cards previously seen on my blog that are made with this set:

On this card, I used the Rock & Roll technique on his head, cut it out, & popped it up on Dimensionals. Sooo cute!

This card was a birthday card given to my daughter by talented stamper, Shruti Parikh & her daughter. Love it!

Bye Bye, Beary Best Friends!

I cannot believe the number of stamp sets I have retiring! Each time a new catalog has come out in the past, I've been amazed at how few stamps I had to retire. Well, I guess that finally caught up with me. I have more than 40 sets retiring! 

One of the darling sets that didn't get much use in my stamp room is the Beary Best Friends stamp set, and its companion word set, Beary Nice Wishes. These are Build-A-Bear sets, which are adorable for kids' cards!

Honestly, I stamped this image over a year ago, & it has been sitting on my desk, waiting to be colored all these months! I finally sat down today & created a card featuring some of our retiring products.

The bears are colored with all retiring colors, the 2010-2012 In Colors. So sad to see them go! The green Rhinestone brad is also retiring, along with the Just Add Cake DSP. The cute Ticket Corner Punch is going, too. Can't wait to see all the new goodies that are replacing these retiring ones!

Going, Going... Gone!

Wow! That's all I can say about the HUGE list of retiring accessories! I am stunned, but I'm sure that means that Stampin' Up! has some amazing new products coming out in the new catalog on June 1st!

Because the list is so long, I want to summarize a few things for you. 

When you look at the retired accessories list, you'll note that all of our Stampin' Pads are listed. This is for two reasons: (1) Craft Stampin' Pads will now only be available in black and white; and (2) we are introducing a new Firm Foam pad in our Classic Stampin' Pads with the 2012-2013 annual catalog.

The Firm Foam pads offer better ink coverage and, in turn, better stamped images. They will be available for customer order on June 1.

In addition, please note the following changes in the new catalog, with explanation for some of the products being on the retired list:

Only select Stampin' Write Markers will be available individually (Stampin' Write Markers in color collections will continue to be offered)
12" x 12" Textured Card Stock will no longer be offered.
12" x 12" Smooth Card Stock will only be available in select individual colors and color collections.
Any item with an asterisk next to it is being reconfigured. An example of this could be repackaging, as in the example above of the markers.
Other than the retiring 2010-2012 In Colors, the Stampin' Up! colors are NOT retiring.

IMPORTANT CORRECTION:

Two items that were included on the Retiring Accessories List are not actually retiring. We have updated the lists to remove these items.

Perfectly Penned stamp set

I just realized that I had not cracked open the Well Worn Designer Series Paper that I bought last summer when the catalog first came out! Wow! That is not like me at all, and now we are almost at the end of this current Idea Book and Catalog, which means that this gorgeous DSP will most likely be retiring! Yikes! I was first drawn to this paper because of its masculine feel. Perfect for a birthday card for the men in your life, or in this case, a thank you card:
