Punch Potpourri & Flight of the Butterfly

Hello! Today I have the final project from my Open House last weekend to share. This is a cute little bookmark that features the Level 1 Hostess stamp set, Punch Potpourri and the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set. When I first got the new Idea Book and Catalog and saw the Hostess stamp sets, I squealed out loud! I love every one of them! This set has 4 stamps that match 4 of our punches including the butterfly and the bird. Love it!

Wow, that photo is BIG! 

Of course I could have used the butterflies from the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set, but they are 2-step stamping stamps, and these were brand new stampers. Plus, the butterfly from Punch Potpourri has letters on it, so I thought that was super cute for a bookmark.

This bookmark features all new In Colors: Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Blushing Bride, and Pear Pizzazz.  Love these new colors!

After a couple of attempts, I found that it was easiest to stamp the sentiment first, so that I could line up the butterfly ahead of his "trail".

Homemade

Hello! Another quick post today... I'm getting ready for my Open House! I think our air conditioner isn't working downstairs, & it is supposed to be over 100 degrees today! We'll see what happens.

Today's project features the single stamp called Homemade. What a great stamp for giving food gifts!

The box was made with the Fancy Favor Die for the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.  I just used the paper trimmer to cut off the top of the box. The stamp was inked in Marina Mist, my favorite blue.

Hello! Today I'm flying to Nashville, TN to visit my family. I am so excited to see them!

Today's projects are the bookmarks that my 11 year daughter made last week. She came into the stamp room & said that she wanted to stamp something, so I suggested a bookmark. She chose the colors & stamp sets, & made these totally by herself. I was so impressed! She also made some for her brother & dad. Too cute!

Scalloped Envelope Box for Sizzlits

Hello! I hope you have had a great holiday weekend. I sent my children to TN to visit their grandparents yesterday, so I am trying to make the most of my "time off" by getting lots of projects done around the house & getting ready for my upcoming classes & Open House. Wheee!

Today's project is a little box that I made to keep my Sizzlits in for my Big Shot. I first made one about a year ago, when Kiwi Kiss was still an In Color, but my Sizzlit collection has grown, so I made a new box with the current Pear Pizzazz cardstock and Greenhouse Garden DSP.

How cute is that? Now, here's last year's:

I will film a video showing how to make it, but basically it is 4 scalloped envelopes put together with Sticky Strip.  My Online Cards & Projects Club will be making these this month!

Hello! Today I finally have the 3rd project that my Online Cards & Projects Club did in June. Sorry this is so late... it's been a crazy month! This is a gift card holder made from a Medium Envelope that fits a standard sized card.

Monogrammed Notecard Teacher Gifts

Hello, and Happy Mother's Day! I have had a wonderful day with my family, and I hope you have had a great one, too.

Well, I did not get my act together last week for Teacher Appreciation Week, but the gifts are finally ready! Better late than never, right? That's what I'm saying anyway.

I thought they turned out really cute! My kids each have 2 teachers, so there is another one not shown, but that also used the Cottage Wall DSP. The card and matching envelope are shown on the right in the So Saffron with the Sweet Pea DSP. Iem not going to type out the directions, because we are on our way out to a Japanese Steak House for dinner, but email me or post a comment if you want all the details!

Today we went to a Strawberry Farm to pick some yummy strawberries! We had so much fun, and I've never tasted more delicious strawberries in my life! It was about 65 degrees and not a cloud in the sky... a perfect Mother's Day!

Purse Gift Card Holder

Hello! Today's project is one that my Online Cards & Projects Club will be doing this month as one of their free projects. 

Isn't it cute? It features the Great Friend stamp set and the Cottage Wall DSP. Here is a video showing how it was made:

 

Written Instructions: 

1. Take a 6 x 6: piece of DSP & score at 3”. Fold.
2. Take a die cut Top Note and score in half long-ways. Fold.
3. Punch each end of Top Note near score line with smaller punch on Crop-a-dile.
4. Put 9 ½” ribbon through. & adhere with tape.
5. To cut purse shape: with open end facing you, line up the fold on the track & the open end point on ¾” & cut. Do same on other side.
6. Use snail on back of tope note & attach to purse, lined up with score line.
7. Add decoration for front of purse & Velcro.
8. Add gift card holder inside, 1 ¼” x 4 ¼” at score line.

2010 Summer Mini Catalog is here!

 
 Happy May Day, everyone! Not only is it starting to feel like summer, now the 2010 Summer Mini Catalog is here! Woo hoo! I am super excited about all of the offerings in this mini, especially the new accessories. I'm loving the Smooch Spritz & the Color Catcher. Until today, we weren't allowed to show you the actual products, just projects using them. So, today I have a video of how to Assemble the Color Catcher. When you use the Smooch Spritz, which is a pearlized accent spray, you'll want to protect your surface, and the Color Catcher works brilliantly.

Hello! Today's project is one that I've been dying to make for my stamp room ever since the Occasions Mini Catalog came out, but I didn't have the stamp set. Then a few weeks ago when I was at my friend Catherine's house, I borrowed her stamp set & quickly stamped all of the images in Black Staz On on Whisper White cardstock. I brought home that white piece of paper & it sat on my desk for days & days. Then this week & finally cut, colored, & decorated it, & I am so happy with it!

The stamp set is Totally Tess, and it is retiring tomorrow!!! If you want to make this cute project for your craft space, you have to order it asap! I framed it & placed it prominently in my stamp room, & it brings a smile to my face every time I look at it. Here it is framed:

I wanted to use Melon Mambo, since it is such a happy color. When trying to figure out what color I wanted to coordinate with it, I was so excited to see how beautifully the soon-to-be-back retired In Color, Pacific Point, goes with Melon Mambo. Love it!

Tess and her accessories were colored with Blender Pens (thank goodness I never got rid of my retired colors!)  Her bag was colored with another returning favorite, Pink Pirouette. I hand cut out her bag, snips, marker, wheel, and stamp, & placed them in her bag & on her hand with my 2-way glue pen. 

The sentiment was punched with the Modern Label Punch, and the Pacific Point mat was die cut using my Movers & Shapers Die. 

I hope you love this project as much as I do!
