Hello! Today's card was inspired by a color challenge over on Splitcoast, which is Baja Breeze, Rich Razzleberry, & So Saffron plus a neutral. I pulled out an old favorite, Always, which was actually a stamp set that I chose with my Demonstrator Starter Kit.
I'm so happy that Always didn't retire! That bird is just so gorgeous. The bonus challenge was to use a grid on the card, so I used my Presto Patterns DSP and brayered it with Baja Breeze. The bird stamp was inked in Baja Breeze, then I inked a sponge dauber in Rich Razzleberry & carefully daubed just the very edges of the bird, so he would stay mostly blue. Then I sponged the edges of the page with the dauber & matted it in Razzleberry.
I have to say that I really love this color combination!
Be sure to check out my DSP and Ribbon Shares! You can't beat the price!
