Today is my 15th wedding anniversary, so I made this card for my darling husband.
Let me tell you... a lot happens in 15 years! We've weathered a lot of storms and had some great times, & I love him madly! :-)
My original thought was a black & white card, maybe with some of the Red Glimmer Paper thrown in... maybe the Newsprint or First Edition DSP. Then I looked through my DSP box & saw this gorgeous Elegant Soiree DSP, & I knew that it would be perfect! Not many of our papers are suitable for a masculine card, but this paper is soft and masculine at the same time. Love it!
I stamped the champagne glasses inside from the Cheers to You stamp set, and also stamped Happy Anniversary from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. The sentiment on the outside of the card is from the Full of Life stamp set, which I love, love, love! I haven't used it much yet, but it is so great for scrapbooking & has a nice saying for lots of occasions. It is perfect for my hubby!
I punched a tiny heart for the matching button & used my Paper Piercing Tool to punch the button holes in the DSP. I attached them together with a mini glue dot, then threaded a strip of Soft Suede cardstock through.
