Fancy Favor Punch Art Bunny Box

Hello Stampers! Today's project is one that my Online Cards & Projects Club members and my local club members will be doing this month. It features the Fancy Favor Die for the Big Shot. If you are in the Online Club, you will receive the box with DSP already attached and die cut for you. You'll also receive all of the punched pieces to make the Punch Art Bunny and everything else seen on this project. Isn't it cute?

The DSP is from Shades of Spring DSP pack, which comes in soft, spring shades. I chose to use the pinks & yellows for this project, but it also has pastel green & purple, too. 

Pink round rhinestone brads hold the handle on and add a touch of bling.

The Chocolate chip satin ribbon dresses up Mr Bunny for the Easter (or Spring) parade.

Punch Art Easter Bunny Card

Hi Stampers! Gosh, I'm late posting today! I usually try to have my post up by 7am EST. This move is taking up all of my paper crafting time! LOL! 

Anyway, today's card was made by paper piecing a bunny using our awesome punches. He is too cute! Both my Local and Online Cards & Projects Club members will make this bunny and an adorable Fancy Favor Box to put him on this month. I'll show that project and a video of how to put it together tomorrow, but today I have a video of how to make Mr Bunny:

I {Heart} Hearts for my Sweetheart

Happy Valentine's Day! I have to confess, I did not make my husband a Valentine's card this year! With all of the craziness of selling our home & spending much of last week in Richmond looking for one, I ran out of time. Luckily, our local group of demonstrators meets every month and swaps cards, so I used this awesome swap from Vicki for my husband's Valentine. Lookie:

 

Isn't it perfect? My cards tend to be on the feminine side, and I thought this was perfectly suitable for a man. Thanks Vicki! 

Great news! We found a house in Richmond, and are all set to move in mid-March! Woo hoo! This has been such a long journey... first my husband lost his job & was out of work for 8 months. Then he got this job in Richmond & was commuting home for 7 months, while we were trying to sell our home here in Raleigh. I am so thankful that we'll be able to get our family back together under one roof. 

Of course, I'll miss all of our friends here in Raleigh. I've met such wonderful ladies through my Stampin' Up business, & it is daunting to think of starting it all over in a new city. I love this business so much, though, so it will be worth it! What other job do you get to have this much fun, have girls' get-togethers regularly as "work", and get to be creative and get paid?! I {Heart} Hearts Valentine

 

How gorgeous is this card? No, I'm not bragging... I cased this card! I saw this online & just had to make one for myself. I changed up the border at the bottom, using more stamps from the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set instead of a wheel and used the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. Otherwise, I kept my card the same as the original.

I started by stamping that gorgeous brocade heart in Pink Passion on a piece of scrap Whisper White cardstock (I think Pink Passion is a great Valentine's color!), and cutting it out with my paper snips. I stamped the dot outline heart in Basic Black ink on a square of Whisper White cardstock & stamped the sentiment below. That was matted on a square of Basic Black that was 1/4" bigger than my white piece.

The pink heart was popped up on Dimensionals, and a teeny bow made with the Black Gingham ribbon was attached with a pink Fire Rhinestone Brad. This was done by opening the prongs of the brad, slipping the bow in between the prongs, then closing the prongs to go through a hole in the heart.

The triple heart stamp was inked in Pink Passion and stamped across the bottom of the Pink Passion card base.

A strip of 3/4" x 5 1/2" Whisper White Cardstock got a sweetheart trim using the Pinking Hearts Border Punch, which is new in the Occasions Mini Catalog. Love it! A strip of Basic Black cardstock layered on top of the white piece.

The More the Merrier Valentine

Hi there! Today's project features The More The Merrier stamp set, which has been neglected in my stamp closet for a while now. When I was able to preorder it (demonstrators get to preorder the hostess stamp sets), I used it like crazy, & I used the pumpkins & snowmen during the holidays, but since then it has been gathering dust. But how cute is this for Valentine's Day? Those little birds holding the hearts is adorable!

The birds were stamped in Jet Black Staz On Ink, then were watercolored using a blender pen and Bordering Blue ink on the wings, Pretty in Pink on the hearts, and Pumpkin Pie on their beaks.

The corners of the Whisper White piece were punched using the Ticket Corner Punch, and Pretty in Pink Brads were added in the 4 corners of the Bordering Blue Mat.

The heart stamp from the same stamp set was inked in Pretty in Pink ink and stamped all over the Pretty in Pink mat.

The Happy Valentine's Day sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, an awesome word stamp set! It was punched with the Word Window punch and matted on a piece of Bordering Blue punched with the Modern Label Punch. Sweet!

I {Heart} Hearts Hugs

Hi there! Today's project is one that I totally cased off of a card that I saw on the internet. I just loved how she (sorry, I don't know who it was!) used the Hugs Love Notes as the focal point of the card. I changed the DSP and color scheme, but the layout is the same.

The I {Heart} Hearts is such a versatile set! I stamped that gorgeous brocade heart once on the Hugs Love Note in Regal Rose, then stamped the polka dot heart in Rose Red on a piece of scratch paper. I then cut it out and adhered it with Dimensionals.

The Love You Much sentiment is from my very favorite word set, Well Scripted. It was stamped in Rose Red on the Hugs Love Note, high enough so that it would appear above the ribbon.

A piece of Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon was tied around the Hugs Love Note in a bow. The Love Note was popped up on Dimensionals.

I {Heart} Hearts From the Heart

Hi there! Good news! I made it to Richmond easily & saw lots of houses today. (Thanks Lynn!) I have to confess, my mind is not on stamping right now, but I want to post every day if possible.

So today I'm showing a card that is similar to the one that I posted a few days ago. It features the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set again, but this time I added the Heard from the Heart stamp set and the Pink Taffeta ribbon. Chocolate Chip & Pretty in Pink are so yummy together! I would be pretty with glitter on the hearts, but it is pretty without, too. 

First, I stamped the bigger heart across the whisper white cardstock. Then I added the smaller chocholate chip hearts wherever I felt they were needed.

I added adhesive just to the 4 corners, & placed the ribbon underneath before adhering to the pink base. This way, I can slide the ribbon around, but the cardstock makes it stable for tying. 

The 4 corners were given the special treatment with the Ticket Corner Punch.

A Happy Heart Valentine

A Happy Heart

Hi there! Today's project features on of my very favorite stamp sets, A Happy Heart. This set was new in the Occasions Mini Catalog last year. I never bought it, and I've been kicking myself ever since, because the images are just so gorgeous, especially that heart dandelion. I love it! Now my dilemma is that, as a demonstrator, I always need to have the newest products, but I still love that set & think it would be one I would hang on to forever. Hmmm, what do you think? Should I buy it anyway? (say yes!) He he. 

So I borrowed this set from my good friend, Catherine. That is the great thing about being a demonstrator in our group! We borrow from each other all the time, so it is nice that I don't have to buy everything myself.

I began by stamping the dandelion in Melon Mambo on a piece of 2 x 3 1/4 Whisper White cardstock. Using my paper piercer, I poked a hole in the middle of the dandelion & added a pink rhinestone brad. That was matted on a piece of 2 1/4 x 3 1/2 Pretty In Pink cardstock.

Then I took a piece of 4 1/4 x 2 7/8 Melon Mambo cardstock, and using the Scallop Trim Corner Punch, punched my four corners. Then I took the Scallop Trim Border Punch, lined up the scallops on the guide printed on the punch, and punched between the corners. This takes a lot of practice, I have to be honest. The piece of paper needs to be exactly the right size and still it is not easy to do. I hear that after you practice a while, that it gets easy, but I haven't had time to get to that point yet.

A piece of Melon Mambo Polka Dot ribbon was knotted toward one end & attached around the back with my Snail adhesive. I was pleased with the way this card came out.

I {Heart} Hearts Workshop Card

Hi there! It has been raining nonstop here in Raleigh since Thursday night, & I'm feeling a bit of cabin fever! Between last weekends snow and this, I'm dreaming of an island vacation. Warm sun, cool breeze, toes in the sand... What? Not happening? <sigh> Well, in that case, I'll show you the card that we'll be making in Maha's workshop today.

Isn't it sweet? This was designed by my friend, Catherine, and I just love its simplicity. As much as I love my embellishments, it's nice to remember that all you need is ink, stamps, & paper to make a special card that will be so meaningful to its recipient because you took the time to make it.

I did add a couple of extra touches: the Ticket Corner Punch and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, but it would be just as gorgeous without them.
