Today is September 11th... it is hard to believe it has been 10 years since that awful day. I'm wishing everyone a day of peace & rememberance today. Give your loved ones an extra hug, and be grateful that your family is safe.
Today's project was inspired by the Clean & Simple Sketch challenge this week. My mom is still recovering from a very painful skin graft surgery, so I wanted to make another card for her.
I love how soft & pretty the Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper is, so I thought I'd build my card around that. The Pink Pirouette & Soft Suede colors are gorgeous together!
My flower was die cut with the Fun Flowers Die for the Big Shot. I used the Faux Suede Technique by using my bone folder on the flowers over and over until the layers separated. It is like curling ribbon with scissors. When you separate the layers, they are soft & fuzzy.

I sponged the edges of the petals & separated the layers with Dimensionals. An Antique Brad is perfect as the flower center.
