Hello! I have just returned from an exhausting week in Nashville, and I'm thrilled to be home. My mom, whom I was visiting there, went home from the hospital today, so that is a relief. And for those of you that know that I had cancer 5 years ago, I had my scans & everything is all clear! Technically, I'm "cured"! Woo hoo!
I'm sorry I've been out of pocket this week. I'll post a quick project tonight, then tomorrow I'll be back to daily posting. Thanks for understanding!
Today's project is another one from the Make & Take Kit that I won from my upline that features the For All You Do stamp set. I love these projects! It is a little 3 x 3 card that features the kissing technique. I'll film some videos this week, & one will show how this is done.
Well, I'm off to a good night sleep in my own bed. Woo hoo! Can't wait!
Hello! Today's project is one that my local Stamp Club and my Online Cards & Projects club gals are doing this month. I absolutely love this card, & everyone really liked learning the Spotlighting Technique.
The floral stamp in the Elements of Style stamp set is perfect for this technique! What an awesome stamp set. The stamp was inked in Jet Black Staz On, stamped on my large piece of Confetti White cardstock, and stamped again on a scrap of cardstock. The spotlight was punched with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch, and matted with a Basic Black 1 3/8" circle.
Using Blender Pens, I colored the flowers in Pink Pirouette, then added deeper Rose Red highlights. The leaves were colored in Old Olive. The circles were popped up on dimensionals.
The Black striped ribbon looks perfect with the Confetti White cardstock. Love it!
Today we are driving up to the Jersey Shore for a nice weekend with Bill's parents, who have a house there. If you've never been, it isn't the Jersey Shore that you know about from the reality show. It is gorgeous there, and peaceful, and no big hair or orange tans anywhere! Bill's birthday is tomorrow & the kids are at my dad's, so we decided on a whim to get away. Yea! I'll still be posting every day, though, so be sure to check back tomorrow!

Hi there! Today's project is a Make & Take from the Hawaii incentive trip. No, sadly I did not get to go on that trip. My upline Catherine went & never did her Make & Takes. So she offered it as an incentive in a contest she was having for her downline, and I won!
Funnily enough, as thrilled as I was to get that pack of goodies, I never found time to sit down & make them, & over time I forgot all about it. Then this week I was looking for something in my mess of a closet, & there it was! Ooh, I love Make & Takes! How gorgeous is this card???
My Stamp-a-ma-jig made lining up all of the different stamped elements on the card a snap.
The large flower was inked in Pumpkin Pie ink & stamped off once. Then the polka-dot stamp was inked in Pumpkin Pie & "kissed" onto the flower stamp. When I stamped onto the Whisper White cardstock, a polka-dot flower appeared. The Kissing Technique. Awesome!
The medium flower was inked in So Saffron, then rolled in Pumpkin Pie, & again in Real Red. I huffed on the stamp to make sure it was moist, then when I stamped... ta da! The Rock & Roll Technique.

Hi there! I hope you are having a great holiday weekend. Today's project is one that my local stamp club and my Online Cards & Projects Club will be doing for the month of June. It features the coming-soon stamp set, Awash With Flowers. I really love this set!
The technique is called Faux Stained Glass. To do this technique, you need a line-art stamp set (one that is an outline to be colored in).
Stamp the image in craft ink or Versamark on Vellum Cardstock, sprinkle embossing powder on the stamped image, then heat with heat tool to emboss. (I used Versamark & Black Embossing Powder, but Black Craft Ink would be great, too.) Be sure to use your Embossing Buddy to keep stray flecks of black off of your project.
Turn stamped image over, & color in the flowers with markers on the back of the vellum. I used Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose, Melon Mambo, Real Red, & Old Olive. Start with lightest color first on part of the image, then add darker colors next to the lighter ones.
Blend colors together with Blender Pen. When you color on the vellum, the colors don't sink in right away, so you can blend them together easily for a stained glass look.
Finish the project. I backed my vellum with Whisper White cardstock and adhered them together with black brads in the 4 corners. The "thank you" is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, which was punched with the Word Window Punch & matted with a Basic Black piece punched with the Modern Label Punch. All of that on a Melon Mambo card base.

Hi there! I feel like I've been lost in the stamping Bermuda Triangle, with so much going on in my life & no time to stamp or shoot videos. Well... I'm back! Woo hoo! I finally had some time alone in the house today to create some new projects and shoot a couple of videos, and man, was it fun!
Today's card features the Faux Suede Technique on the flowers. To see a video of how it was made, click below:
Simple, huh? It is so fun to do, & I can't wait for my Online Cards & Projects Club, Scrapper's Express Club, and my In Town club gals to try it!
Aside from the suede flowers, the star of the show on this project is the Sending Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. It is so glittery & gorgeous! It comes with 6 different patterns on 12 double sided pages. I used 3 designs on this card.
The glittery flower gets even more sparkle from a clear rhinestone brad. So glam!
The thank you sentiment from With All My Heart stamp set matches the art style of the DSP perfectly. In fact, the stamp set was designed to go with the paper!

Today I have another sneak peek from the 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog and a video! The stamp set featured is With All My Heart and the technique is Versamark Resist. The photo of the card is a little blown out, so the flowers don't show as well as I would like, but it is very pretty IRL.
To do Versamark Resist, you start with Glossy Cardstock and stamp your image with Versamark (a clear, sticky ink). The Versamark makes the Glossy Cardstock "resist" the ink when you brayer over your stamped images. Neat!
The tag is a die cut piece from the Matchbox Die, which is ON SALE right now during the 12 Days of Holiday Sales! Click here for all the details. If you don't have a Big Shot or the die, you could use a punch, or just cut a rectangle. The edges of my tag were sponged in Pretty in Pink Classic ink, and the Satin Ribbon is also a sneak peek from the new catty!

The project features the Pendant Park stamp set... aren't those little squirrel's on the park bench adorable? The tree was stamped in Versamark, then colored with our chalks, Stampin' Pastels, and a sponge dauber. I love the way the tree extends beyond the Confetti Cream cardstock and onto the Garden Green card base. The bench and sentiment were stamped in Chocolate Chip Craft ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. A thin strip of Chocolate Chip cardstock at the bottom adds a perfect touch.
